On The Spot

Last night was our regular gig at C5 Torres. Thought it was just like the regular gig but this time our drummer, although in this case is the beat box player, suddenly decided that we do an audition at Jickong's, one of the places were acoustic bands play. So after our second set we immediately went to Jickong's for the audition (it was really just for fun).

When we got there we waited for the first auditioning band to finish before we could play and after waiting for how many minutes it was our time to play. I was really happy to see that there was a bass amplifier because all the acoustic bars seem to lack the right sound system. I tuned my bass and then we played. By the way we played 3 songs: Englishman in New York, Closer, and Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig with a twist (without 's' on its lyrics). The crowd liked how we played although it was expected, the owner which was Sir Jickong, gave us a slot during Tuesdays. Now I'm fitting in with the schedule because its already 3 gigs in a row, Idol Grill during Monday, Jickong's on Tuesdays and C5 every Wednesday (whew) It's fun though.
